Patient Consultation

Inpatient Consultations

Our practice deals primarily with in-hospital patient consultations. If another physician currently involved in the care of a hospital patient suspects that an infectious agent may be at work in a patient’s illness, he or she can contact one of our physicians for a consultation by calling 214-689-7806 or toll free 800-559-7806.

Outpatient Information

Making Appointments
Since in-hospital patient care is the primary focus of our practice, outpatient appointments are very limited. In order to schedule an office appointment, your primary care physician must first call and discuss your needs with one of our physicians. A member of our office staff will then call you to set an appointment time.

About Your Appointment
Appointments normally take 30 to 60 minutes. We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first office visit to complete a brief medical history and a registration form. To save time, these forms are available to fill out and submit online at your convenience prior to your first appointment. Alternatively, the forms may be printed out and either faxed to our office at 214-689-5970, or mailed to us at 7200 N. State Highway 161, Suite 220, Irving, TX 75039. If mailing the forms, please allow sufficient time for us to receive them before your appointment. If you have a living will, advanced directive, or durable power of attorney, please bring it with you to your appointment so that we may make a copy for our files.

Please assist us by being on time for your appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment or you are going to be late, please call our office as soon as possible in order to allow us to be of service to other patients. Although we try our best to stay on schedule, emergencies do sometimes arise. If we are seriously delayed we will try to notify you beforehand. We ask your patience if you have to wait; we know that your time is valuable. Since our office waiting area is extremely small, we ask that you bring no more than one additional person with you to your appointment.

We make a special effort to explain everything to you regarding your condition, your medicines, and your treatment. If you have any questions that have not been answered, or if something is not clear to you, please do not hesitate to ask.

Emergencies
Please contact your primary care physician first if you have an urgent problem. He or she may contact one of our physicians concerning your care if necessary. If you have a true emergency, please go to the Emergency Room of the nearest hospital.

Fees, Billing & Insurance
Charges for office visits are determined by time spent as well as the severity and complexity of your medical problem. If you are an insured patient, we will bill your insurance company for you, but if your insurance requires a co-pay, it will be due at the time of your appointment. If you are a self-pay patient, you will need to pay at the time of your visit using a check, debit card, Mastercard, or VISA.

We participate in several different insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. Please ask us if we are providers for your plan. You must bring your insurance card with you at the time of your appointment. Insurance plans vary and may cover anywhere from zero to 95% of your medical and surgical costs. You are responsible for any amount not covered by your plan.

Confidentiality Policy
Your medical record is strictly private; we will not give out information regarding your condition to anyone without your permission. The only exception would be when required by law, as in cases of industrial accident, assault, etc.
